We’re the winners of Artevisione LAB 2019!

We’re super happy to announce that we are the winners of the 2019 edition of Artevisione 2019, promoted by Careof in partnership with Sky Arte.
We were selected with our upcoming project, The Cute and the Useful, initially developed in South Africa thanks to IIC Pretoria and Nirox Foundation last year, which will become a film describing the complex and controversial wildlife industry flourishing in the country: a method of environmental conservation where the public and private sector are regulated by the market, whose application resulted in a 400% increase of the wildlife population in South Africa in the last 50 years.

A Collection award @ Artefiera 2020

We’re happy to announce that we’re the winners of A Collection Award at Artefiera 2020. The artwork selected by the jury, composed of Giovanni Bonotto, Chiara Casarin, Diego Bergamaschi and Maria Chiara Vallacchi, is The Worm and belongs to our series Time Travel Stuff (2018). The prize consists in a residency and collaboration with Fondazione Bonotto aimed at the production of a tapestry which will enter the Foundation’s collection.

Gallery.Delivery is both a group exhibition and a performance that can be ordered online. It will be delivered by bike courier in a “White Cube” courier bag to the address stipulated in the order, where it will be temporarily installed.
As the Internet increasingly penetrates every corner of our lives, this is giving rise to a mindset where we expect immediate availability in all aspects of our material world, triggered by a simple click or tap.
Gallery.Delivery applies this promise of immediate availability to the exhibition space and the format of the group show. However, unlike with normal delivery services, the courier doesn’t stop at the doorstep; instead, he enters the private home where he sets up the exhibition and offers the works for sale. In this moment, the process of setting up the exhibition takes centre stage as a performative aspect of the show.

The international festival of contemporary photography Fotopub Festival was founded in 2000 by LokalPatriot Institute and it is based in Novo Mesto, a city in southeastern Slovenia. The festival was originally named the Fotopub Festival of Documentary Photography, but from 2014, its focus has shifted from documentary and reportage photography to encompass a wider and conceptual perspective, and the festival itself became a platform for contemporary, not only photographic, arts. Every year it brings together international artists and curators, whose practices are located in the gaps and overlaps of contemporary visual arts, new media and technology.

The Art Stays Contemporary art festival has been bringing the best that Slovenian and foreign contemporary artists have to offer to Ptuj since 2003, having featured a number of promising young artists, as well as big names, such as Ai Weiwei, Yoko Ono, Monira Al Qadiri, Gilbert & George, Jake & Dinos Chapman…Just like every year, we can look forward to exceptional artworks from a wide range of art forms – from sculpturing, photography, film, and painting to art installations and performances, and music. The 17th edition of the Art Stays festival, with the title FUTURE – a Vision of the World, will feature international artists who explore the future and try to answer the question: What the future holds?
