Thursday May 5th Careof invites you to a long session of studio visits, talks, performances and concerts, divided in three parts:

Where: FDV Residency – Palazzina Liberty, Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan

4-7 PM: meet the finalist artists of Artevisione in their residency studios: The Cool Couple, Riccardo Giacconi and Caterina Erica Shanta. The afternoon ends with a performance by Aves Project in collaboration with storyteller Franco Trincale, who tells about misery, contradictions and passions since the end of WWII.

7-8 PM: Ilaria Bonacossa, director of Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art presents the catalogue of the exhibition Chaotic Passion with the curators Anna Lovecchio and CHAN (Hilda Ricaldone and Carlotta Pezzolo).

On the occasion of the exhibition VX30 | Chaotic Passion, the museum of contemporary art Villa Croce organizes a series of artist talks and guided tours.

ARTIST TALKS

Between February and March, a round of meetings with the artists exhibiting in VX30 | Chaotic Passion will offer to the visitors the opportunity to get in touch with contemporary art world. Graziadei law firm, in collaboration with Fotografia – Festival Internazionale di Roma, is pleased to invite you to the conversation with The Cool Couple and Pietro Paolini, winners of the past editions of Graziadei Prize, on Friday, January 15th at 6PM. The talk will be hold at MACRO – Contemporary Art Museum in Rome. The Cool Couple and Pietro Paolini, in conversation with Marco Delogu (photographer and artistic director of FOTOGRAFIA, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in London), Francesco Jodice (photographer and jury member for the last edition of the prize) and Cristiana Perrella (curator and critic), will present their works, awarded as best photographic project of the past two years. The conversation will be introduced by Federica Pirani (MACRO museum director) and Francesco Graziadei (lawyer, partner of Graziadei law firm).

Unseen, the international photography fair and festival focused on new photography, will take place from the 18th to the 20th of September 2015 at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek. With 54 international galleries, Unseen Photo Fair highlights the most recent developments in contemporary photography by presenting emerging talent and unseen work by established artists. From the ruins of the well-known Fotopub, an established festival of documentary photography in Novo mesto, emerged a renewed and well executed re-contextualisation of the new and artist-run “fotopub”. The motive behind our newly established team is to broaden the focus of the festival into contemporary photography, to promote Slovene and foreign photographers of the younger generation and to build bridges between professionals and the amateur public. “fotopub” is therefore attempting to develop a necessary platform, intended for connecting young artists and professionals with their already established colleagues, thus evoking a constructive dialogue amongst them.
